FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT

We should be focusing on the coming of Christ our savior, not thinking

of Jesus' incarnation as an historical event of the past. Try to remember

that His coming into the world is a daily event and we all can do better by

greater faithfulness to Christ and the Gospel. Beyond the Christmas tree

and the beautiful gifts (all a part of the celebration) we need to pray for the

strength to withstand the frustraions that come day-to-day allowing us to

"offer it up", bearing the crosses that will prepare us for eternal life. Do much

praying during these next 4 weeks leading to a happy and Holy Birthday Party!

Very nice post Mom. Hopefully we will all be able to take time out of our everyday lives to contemplate what the Birth of Christ means to all of us. We need to take these festival holiday feeling into our New Year and make Christ 1st in our lives everyday.

Amen Grandma!! Christmas is all about how God came to us in flesh and blood to forgive, all that come to Him, of our sins!! What grace He has shown us all!!
