DePauw's Moore chosen All-SCAC
GREENCASTLE -- Michael Moore has completed a standout junior season for the DePauw University men's basketball team, leading the Tigers in scoring and earning All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference first-team honors.
The Concord High School graduate and 5-foot-8 guard averaged 17.3 points, 6.5 assists and 1.5 steals to pace DePauw in each.
The NCAA Division III Tigers finished 19-7 overall and 10-4 in the SCAC to tie for second in the league's Eastern Division.
Moore collected two Player of the Year votes from the conference's 12 coaches and was third in all-league balloting overall.
He ranked fourth in the SCAC in scoring, led in assists, was third in made 3-pointers per game (2.5) and third in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.95).
Moore shot 53.2 percent on 2-pointers, 66-of-163 on 3s for 40.5 percent and 77.6 percent at the line.
DePauw lost 82-77 in double overtime to Trinity of Texas in the SCAC tournament quarterfinals to close its season.
The Tigers' Nos. 2 through 4 scorers for the year were each seniors.
