Kitchen is getting closer to done!!
Now I can at least cook in my kitchen. We still have lots of trim work to do and I will be glad when My sink and dishwasher are finally hooked up. All the cupboards and space are GREAT!

Congrats Susie & Jerry!

As appeared in Elkhart Truth today:
ELKHART -- Wanting to save a local tradition, a husband and wife team have purchased Elkhart Camera Center which had been on the verge of closing.
Jerry and Susie Eakle completed the purchase of the center's assets on Nov. 11. They will keep the store in operation at the corner of East Jackson Boulevard and Elkhart Avenue but plan to change the name to Design Lab.
In business for more than 50 years, Elkhart Camera Center was a popular stop for professional photographers, Jerry Eakle said, because it used a wet process to develop digital photographs. The developing method gives pictures a higher degree of color and clarity than the dry process used by many chain retailers.
Eakle called the center's adherence to the wet process a "legacy of Elkhart" and said he "didn't want to give up what's in our own backyard."
In addition to continuing to offer that developing process, Eakle plans to stock the store with Sony and Canon electronic equipment such as cameras, camcorders and digital players along with all the supplies and accessories.
His goal, he said, is to make the camera center "a first class one-stop shop for Elkhart County."
Eakle's wife, a professional photographer, will run the business and former Camera Center president Dale Longacre will remain as general manager.
The interior of the store is being redesigned and redecorated but the business is open and serving customers.
